34: Portland Weather for February 3, 2026

Good morning. It's Tuesday, February the third, two thousand and twenty-six, here in Portland, Oregon.

And I'm looking out the window right now and there's a kind of gentle gray settling over everything. But I can see some breaks in the clouds, some lighter patches where the sky is trying to come through. Partly cloudy this morning.

Very still right now. Forty-one degrees Fahrenheit, around five degrees Celsius.

And there's something beautiful about this kind of morning. The clouds are moving slowly, drifting along, and every now and then a bit of blue peeks through. The trees are still, the air is crisp.

This afternoon should be going up to around fifty-eight degrees Fahrenheit, about fourteen Celsius, and those clouds should thin out even more as the day goes on. By mid-afternoon we might see some golden sunshine breaking through, warming things up before the temperatures start to ease back down toward fifty-five.

Tonight the clouds will gather back in, mostly cloudy they're saying, with the low settling around forty-three degrees, about six Celsius. And then tomorrow, Wednesday, should be mostly sunny with a high near fifty-nine. So we've got some nice days ahead of us here.

Today I was thinking about The Five Satins and their song In the Still of the Night from nineteen fifty-six. Just a beautiful piece of music. That doo-wop harmony, those voices weaving together. Perfect for a quiet morning like this one.
